Frisky!

Written By: tglasneck - Jul• 11•12

Okay, I admit it, I’ve been touched by the writings of E.L. James and can’t help but think of my once-not-so-long-ago obsession with Twilight. But this is different. Sure, I am a woman in my thirties (although I have the music collection of a 25 year old), all I can say is that if you have it flaunt it.

I am so sick of hearing people b&ming about what others are reading or may or maynot be doing in their bedrooms. I’m not a voyerist and I don’t give a flying frick what someone may be doing with their swings and ben-wa balls. Until Shades I didn’t even know that a lot of this stuff existed. Maybe I was a prude (but I’d like to think I was just unenlightened), but now…now, I feel that this is the beginning of a sexual revolution for women again to OWN their sexuality and do whatever they want to do to get the results they want.

The same when it comes to reading. I don’t care what people are reading as long as they do. What I’ve noticed over the last few years is that people would rather watch a movie than fall into a book. Instead of bashing the literary choices people are making, be happy about them reading something. The art of reading will die if we do not encourage it to flourish.

So, if you want to read, it doesn’t matter if it is the prose of Stephanie Meyer or E. L. James or even James Patterson, I applaud you for doing what you enjoy and finding an outlet between the sheets of a great book.

So yeah, I’m feeling frisky and need another book to devour. Any recommendations?

To appease the gods of music, I’m attaching some of my groovy tunes from 2008 (because this song always makes me put it on repeat).
